Welcome The Winter 2015 GI Interns

by Matt Miller on Jan 27, 2015 at 09:30 AM

Covering games every year is an interesting cycle, with the crazy times around E3 filled with previews and the holidays filled with reviews. These first months of the New Year are usually an ideal time for us to dig back in and explore games and game culture in-depth, and we’ve got a great team of new interns to help us do just that.

Elise Favis, Jon Gregory, and Justin Mikos come to us from far and wide. Both Jon and Justin may be familiar to longtime readers of Game Informer, as they’ve been user-featured bloggers here for some time. Meanwhile, Elise becomes our first official intern arrival from outside of the United States; she joins us from the video game development hotbed of Montreal, where she has already done extensive coverage of games in radio and writing.

Expect to see all sorts of news, previews, and features from these journalists in the coming months. I hope you’ll welcome all three to the Game Informer community, and take a moment to read their personal introductions, linked from their names above.

Are you considering a career in video games writing? If you’re looking to further your existing writing or journalism education through an internship at Game Informer, we’re currently accepting applications for the upcoming summer term.  For more information, email me at the address below, or click here to learn more.
