Dragon Age: Inquisition PC Patch 3 Will Fix Blocked Progression Problems

by Mike Futter on Jan 19, 2015 at 01:32 PM

BioWare has shared the patch notes for the upcoming third patch for Dragon Age: Inquisition. The update will be coming first to PC, with consoles to follow.

This patch was designed primarily to fix bugs (rather than add new features). BioWare put focus on those problems that have impeded player progress or otherwise dragged down the experience.

Of note, elements of Dorian and Sera’s personal quests have been fixed so as not to block advancement. There was a spawning issue in Sola’s quest that has also been addressed.

Multiplayer has received some clean-up and balancing. PC players will also be able to key bind walking.

Included in the lengthy list of fixes are improvements to friendly mage AI (they won’t dispel your frozen targets anymore), the banter system (so there aren’t extended periods of silence), and extra potions disappearing when arriving in Skyhold. On the multiplayer side, some issues with the end-of-match screen have been rectified.

The full list of patch notes is available on BioWare’s website. No specific release date for the patch has been shared yet. For more on Dragon Age: Inquisition, check out our review.

Our Take
If the patch list is out, PC players should reasonably expect the update to roll out in the coming days. Console players will be waiting a bit longer for their next band-aid, though. With the exception of the items that impeded progress, this list reads as one would expect post-launch patch notes to. The items are relatively small and focused on polishing.
