Telltale President And Co-Founder Kevin Bruner Becomes Company CEO

by Ben Reeves on Jan 12, 2015 at 12:01 PM

Adventure game aficionados Telltale Games is changing its management structure as president and co-founder Kevin Bruner transitions to a CEO role. Former CEO and co-founder Dan Connors will be stepping down to become Telltale’s executive advisor.

“Each year since Telltale’s 2004 birth has been more exciting than the last, and 2015 will be no exception,” said Bruner. “We’re thrilled to continue our growth and bring our unique style of scripted entertainment to the next generation of digital media, and do that across thousands of different devices. Our top priority is to continue fostering an environment where the most talented and creative storytellers in the industry are working side by side with the world's biggest creative partners. We’re already working on some of the biggest franchises in entertainment, and when you add our unannounced partnerships and upcoming original IP, it’s clear the most exciting time to be at Telltale is now, and there will continue to be more and more opportunity to innovate ahead of us.”

Earlier this year, Telltale was named the ‘Most Innovative Company in Gaming’ by Fast Company. And this year, Telltale fans have a lot to look forward to as The Walking Dead Season 3 is surly in the works and the company's Game Of Throne's series off to a strong start. Watch us talk about why season one of The Walking Dead was one of the best games of 2012.

Our Take
This sounds like an amicable transition, which is nice to see. Telltale has experienced ten years of consistent growth, so they must be doing something right. We hope that that trend can continue under Bruner's watch.
