Reader Discussion: Will Remasters Still Earn Your Money In 2015?
It’s been just over a year since the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One arrived in North America. As developers and publishers worked this year to get new-gen offerings finished, many turned toward back catalog to fill in the gaps.
Square Enix, Microsoft, Deep Silver, Rockstar, Sony, and others offered up remastered versions or definitive editions of some of their biggest titles. And many of you opted in for the familiar (but enhanced) experiences.
We’re curious if you think the remake phenomenon will be as successful in 2015. Will you be interested in embracing history amidst a greater number of new experiences?
Are you cooling on the concept of remastered editions? If so, are there any you’d still purchase if released?
