Diablo III May Come To Consoles
A recent posting on Blizzard's site reveals that the developer is looking to fill console-specific positions on the Diablo III team.
On Blizzard's careers page, under the Diablo III heading, three interesting job openings suggest that the studio may have its sights set on consoles for the title. A lead programmer, lead designer, and senior producer position are listed as "particularly critical."
Before console owners start celebrating (or PC loyalists start gnashing their teeth), this development doesn't necessarily mean that Diablo III will be on console. In a statement on Diablo III's community page, Blizzard states: "We’re exploring a Diablo-related concept for consoles and are currently looking to fill a few senior console-related positions on the Diablo III team...Please note that this is not an announcement of a console title."
So, it sounds more like Blizzard is testing the waters. And even if the developer does go forward, a "Diablo-related concept" may not even be Diablo III. Still, it feels good to dream...
