More BioShock 2 Single-Player DLC Coming August 31

by Adam Biessener on Aug 26, 2010 at 01:44 PM

The Minerva's Den DLC for BioShock 2 condenses a BioShock tale down to a few hours. As another Big Daddy from the same line that produced Alpha from BioShock 2, you'll discover the story behind Rapture's master control program and its creator.

Over the tale's few short hours, you'll discover most of the same tonics and weapons as in the main game. These will serve you well against the new Rocket Bot and Electro Bot, as well as newly enhanced splicer enemies. A few new toys, like the Gravity Well plasmid and Ion Lance weapon allow for new tactics in the face of these new challenges.

I'm all for this kind of RPG DLC instead of the Mass Effect approach. It never made sense to me for Shepard to go out of her way to find new things to distract herself from saving the galaxy with. We'll see whether Minerva's Den itself was a good idea when it comes out next week on PS3 and 360.
