Talent Agents Discover Video Games Make Money

by Ben Reeves on Mar 30, 2010 at 08:50 AM

NYTimes.com recently posted an interesting article about the rise of talent agents in the video game industry. According to the Times, agents help independent or smaller studios land bigger and better contracts that will get their game’s published.

We know that studios like Ninja Theory (Heavenly Sword) and Ignition Entertainment (Muramasa: The Demon Blade), as well as individuals like Ken Levine (BioShock), and ex-Infinity Ward heads Jason West and Vince Zampella have already signed up with video game agencies like Ditto Creative Artists or Digital Development Management.

If the trend continues it looks like talent agents will become major players in the video game industry, just like they are in the movie and music business. If you’re interested in reading more on the topic, check out the full article here.
