Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars Announced

by Tim Turi on Feb 08, 2010 at 05:08 AM

Brick by brick, Traveler’s Tales and LucasArts continue to grow their Lego empire. The next installation in the series will be Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, based off the first seasons of the Cartoon Network show.

Activision promises more of the same in this entry, plus a little something more. “Brand new gameplay,” new battle modes, squad commands, and every character from The Clone Wars TV show. You can also expect some of your favorite characters from other chapters in non-Clone Wars chapters of the Star Wars saga to make an appearance.

“LucasArts continues to set the bar for next-generation family entertainment,” said president of LucasArts, Darrell Rodriguez. “The Lego Star Wars franchise is a massive hit with fans, bringing in sales of over 20 million units worldwide. We’re thrilled to extend this experience to Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, delivering the humor and fun players expect from this award winning franchise.”

The latest Lego game will hit every console (PS3, 360, Wii, DS, PSP, and PC) in the Fall of 2010. Is anyone still managing to stay afloat amidst this flood of Lego-related games? Anybody excited?
