Kids Like Nintendo Better Than McDonalds

by Annette Gonzalez on Oct 09, 2009 at 01:20 PM

Out of 100 of the most beloved, recognized brands by children and teens in America, the Nintendo Wii and DS scored the top spots according to a survey conducted by Smarty Pants, a research organization for youth and family marketers.

In the “Young Love” survey, the Nintendo systems took first and second place followed by Oreo and McDonalds. Other electronic devices that made the list include Apple’s iPod at number 12 and PlayStation at 14. Xbox made it on the list at number 42.

Smarty Pants surveyed 4,700 American kids and their parents online over nine months. The survey included more than 260 consumer brands across 20 product categories.

It’s no surprise kids these days like their electronics. Most of us would probably take a game system over an order of six piece McNuggets any day.
