Test Chamber – Hyper Light Drifter's Entrancing Early Moments

by Kyle Hilliard on Apr 01, 2016 at 10:55 AM

Heart Machine's Kickstarter success story, Hyper Light Drifter, released this week and it only takes a few minutes to recognize it is something special.

We play through the game's opening and explore the eastern area a little bit and I do something I have never been able to do in any Game Informer video content – I keep my mouth shut. The game's opening cutscene is fantastic, and its soundtrack (from Fez composer Disasterpeace) makes it even better. Going into the cutscene, I promise to not talk and I actually pulled it off. It's harder than it looks.

Hyper Light Drifter is available now on PC and Mac, and is coming to consoles soon. Our review for Hyper Light Drifter will be online soon.
