Basically I've been playing Video games since about 1982, I started with the Atari 2600 and didn't get an NES until 1987 or 1988.
Even when I got the NES I was only allowed to play video games about an Hour at a time so basically my time was spent either playing quick games I could beat or playing games with my father (Like Tecmo Bowl).
Eventually I got an SNES and even then I wasn't allowed to play it much so I always had to go to my friends house and play his Genesis with the Sega Channel to get to be able to play as many games as I wanted.
To make a LOOONG story short I didn't really get into playing all the games I wanted until 1997 or 1998 when the Playstation, and N64 were around.
These days I simply enjoy playing games, I only own one newer gen system (Just a PS4) but I collect games I like and eventually I'll be picking about another New Gen system soon.
I'm not the most hardcore gamer and I don't play that often but I still find it to be a fun way to distract myself.
