About me and my Gaming history and interests
Hi, my name is Henry Kwant and am currently a student and working part time at a hardware store . My gaming history extends back into the mid to late 90s' and the early 00's. I first grew up without any video game console at all (hellish I know) but the first time I had ever encountered any type of gaming was when I went to my friends house and he didn't answer the door cause he was too busy playing his N64. That thing was the best thing ever in my mind, it was amazing how cool the games were and what you could do with it. I immediately asked my mom if I could have one but she said no (the classic "your brain will turn to mush") But then later when I was a bit older and the Nintendo Gamecube came out, my mom thought I was "mature" enough to handle it, so she bought me one, and she was wrong. I played that thing for hours on end, literally forgetting to eat sometimes. Big games I played on that are obvious Zelda: wind waker, Super Mario Sunshine, and then later when it came out My friends and I would always play Star Fox assault when they came over, and I also have found memories of playing multiplayer on From Russia with love a lot too, as well as James Bond 007 Nightfire. Then in 2007 the Wii came out, now I won't lie it looked cool before the system came out, but luckily I was old enough and smart enough to not buy it, because after it came out for awhile, it looked really, really, really lame. I stuck with my Gamecube for a lil while longer until I beat Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and then I got stuck on PC gaming, I just loved the feeling of counter strike, and other fps's with a mouse it was so sexy, I also played the Diablo seiries but wasn't a huge fan, of the up top perspective of the game. I was then lost, I then chose to invest all my money into the new Playstation 3 it was so cool looking and everything about it was amazing. I immediately enjoyed it, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Resistance, and warhawk were all amazing to me, I had never seen any better graphics ever. Then you all know what happened, COD4 came, and it was sweet. At the time there was nothing like it, and by far the best looking game of that year, it was so realistic it was just unbelievable. Then the following years to come just got more amazing and more amazing, and now it's 2012, and games are amazing.
My favorite types of games are action RPG's such as games like: Mass Effect seiries, Borderlands (really excited for Borderlands 2!). But I also enjoy story driven games, and adventure games. Such as Max Payne and Uncharted. I like the games that I play to be very meaningful, but at the same time being able to assert Dominance over an opponent and feel powerful, player choice is a huge thing for me as well, games like Mass Effect and Infamous 1 & 2 are great games that involve that sort of player choice, at the same time I'm fine with no player choice but only if the storyline is really good, like Max Payne and Uncharted like I said earlier. Feel free to contact me on PSN if you'd like to play a game of some sort with me, but just be foreworn that I'm not a huge fan of the CoD seiries besides Black Ops, and am Excited for Black Ops 2. But to wrap this up with a conclusion I like games with a meaningful story, nice character progression, and customization, but like I said earlier If one of these things are really great it's ok if leveling up or customization isn't in the game because it all balances out. And for the record I greatly enjoy co-op games or modes much greater than versus (besides Black Ops). But that's me and my views on gaming! P.S. I have a secret love for all Sonic Games
What I'm currently playing: Saints Row the Third on my PC, and also I have really gotten a sevre addiction to Civilization V. Also for the little time I play on the Playstation 3 I have I've been replaying all the MGS games because I have a new found interest in stealth games. Also I have a new found interest in Open world games such as Saints Row the Third and can't wait for The Fourth to come out. I also am Looking forward to GTA V, at first I was skeptical but now after playing a shitload of hours with a friend in SR: 3 then I hope GTA V will be able to do the same for me. If it doesn't I'll stick to saints row!
