Dragon Age: Inquisition

BioWare Releases Stunning New Concept Art For Dragon Age: Inquisition

The Dragon Age: Inquisition concept art pictured above was tweeted by BioWare with the line "“Here lies the abyss, the well of all souls. From these emerald waters doth life begin anew.” The same image posted on Dragon Age's Facebook page carries the message, "And thus was mighty Arlathan cast down, its people swallowed by darkness – never to rise again.” Arlathan is the ancient elven capital.

in addition to this art, BioWare released two more pieces over the holidays. You can view them in the gallery below. Dragon Age: Inquisition is scheduled to release this fall on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. For more information on this title, check out our cover story hub.

  • I am loving the concept art for this game. Looking forward to it. Please don't let us down BIOWARE.

  • Seen the game in action, the textures looked plain and repetitive like DA2,hopefully they fix it,but Biowares been dropping the ball with this franchise.
  • Wow. Ya know, It had totally slipped my mind that this was coming out. I haven't played any of the others, though. A friend gave me his copy, only to find that it was scratched beyond repair. Never got around to picking up another copy and then I heard the sequel was rotten. Is it worth a go, or has it aged poorly?
  • I <3 Dragon Age

  • Łooking good. Looking good. But unlike Mass effect, I can't bring myself to play the first two so my character will be ready for three. I'll just have to create a new one on 3.
  • Concept art looks f***ing gorgeous. But what the concepts are and the reality of the final cut are what will make or break this game. Besides repeating any of the crap concepts from DA2

  • Hopefully we'll see them turned into good looking in-game assets. Otherwise they're just pretty pictures. First game was awesome, second one I didn't finish, and I'm not sold on this one. I don't think I'm going to give BioWare the benefit of the doubt ever again and buy a game based solely on me loving their past games. EDIT: seriously, r-e-p-u-t-a-t-i-o-n gets edited? what a joke...half the time comments don't even post so I have to try again, and then there are PARTS of perfectly fine words that are picked out and asterisked? And then there is the fact that all line breaks get removed sometimes when posts are replied to or edited, but some other times they get doubled when initially posted. Get your comments board straightened out, please. Please.
  • As a huge fan of DA:Origins, I dont like DA:Inquisition. From what I know from the game: it just looks pretty, (and not even that good) and the story isn't interesting. It's just OK. Don't know what they're thinking, but BioWare has lost it.
  • Looks good

  • Hawt.

  • Normally I don't really like Fantasy settings, but something about DA's art direction attracts me to the franchise. I'm looking forward to playing as a Qunari in Inquisition.

  • Can't wait to explore this in-game!

  • But will it satisfy me and run at 60 fps?

  • I could get lost in those pictures.

  • Please show us Gameplay (like the one in Digiexpo).

It was amazing really and hopefully some footage of the Qunari inquisitor

  • Wow, the art looks incredible!

  • I can't wait for this.

  • Concept art is always stunning. Nothing will get me excited for another BioWare game. They are just another hand of EA and the garbage they've produced these last couple of years prove it. Dragon Age: Origins was incredible. DA2 was detestable.
  • Matt Rhodes is a fantastic concept artist, I just wish the people making DA2 took some of his original concepts more seriously (seriously, Flemeth's new design is an outright abomination).

  • can't freakin wait !  bioware is king!
