Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare

PopCap and EA Tease Gamescom News

By all accounts, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare shouldn't work. But then again, who would have guessed that a tower defense style game that pits anthropomorphized vegetation against the undead would be so darn good?

We enjoyed our time with EA and PopCap's third-person shooter twist on the humorous franchise, and now the duo is teasing new information to come next week. We'll be on the ground in Germany covering the news and hopefully getting some more hands-on time with the title.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is coming to Xbox 360 and Xbox One later this year.

  • I can't wait to see if this works
  • I want this sooooooo bad
  • Hopefully they announce a PS4 version at some point. This game looks surprisingly fun and I'd love to play it. Unfortunately I don't plan on getting an Xbox One for a few years. Hope it does well.
  • I had no interest in this at all, till I saw the e3 demo, now I hope my brother gets it so we can play together!

  • Mod
I don't know whether I'm in love with this game, or if it's just infatuation. I know my feelings can't have been lying to me this whole time. Why do I feel so wrong, then? Maybe I should just go for it, I've got nothing to lose. Heck, maybe I've been doing it wrong. Maybe this is how it's supposed to be. I'm willing if you are. I just don't want all of my gardening to have been for nothing. All of my work and love for naught. The tears and 'Game Over's meaningless?
All of that work, planting row after row, fending off the cone-heads, the vaulters, and the football zombies, and now you're trying to tell me to just forget about it? To just pick up a gun and move on? To just give in to the new era when my heart and soul belong to the last?
I understand the franchise wants to spread, and it should, but I'm not sure if I'm ready for it yet.
I've been telling myself that I could stall, that there would be more time, but I know that deep inside, it's all been a pipe-dream. But, I think I understand.
Go, Plants Vs. Zombies. Become the 3rd Person Shooter you were born to be. I'll back you until the end of time, even if it isn't our time. I'm happy for you, even if you've forgotten about me.

  • I hope they announce a Wii U version.

  • That sunflower looks really creepy
  • Can't wait for the PS4 version.

  • They did not just take a stab at Call of Duty: Dogs with that trailer?! That made my day!

  • So it's Call of Duty with plants?

  • Unless that news is that it's coming to PC and PS3/PS4, I don't give a ***.

  • Does anybody know if this is coming to pc?
