Assassin's Creed Rogue

Assassin’s Creed Rogue Announcement Trailer

Hot on the heels of our Assassin’s Creed Unity and Rogue cover reveal, Ubisoft has delivered a CG announcement trailer for the title. The story follows Shay Patrick Cormac, an Assassin-turned-Templar, who hunts his former brothers.

The title includes a naval component, similar to Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. Like Edward Kenway, Shay has his own ship, the Morrigan.

The journey takes players from America to the frozen arctic. Assassin’s Creed Rogue will be out on November 11 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

  • This looks really cool but I'm a bit upset that it's only for last-gen. It's the same issue with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Next-gen has been out for a year, for crying out loud. Many people have moved on to the new/current stuff and don't want to keep switching back and forth between consoles. Last-gen is done. Get with the times! I seriously hope this and Borderlands come to current-gen at some point so more people can enjoy them but it's honestly getting stupid. Be done with the old consoles.
  • Don't announcee a game three months before its release and two ACs released around the same time makes me even more skeptical of Rogue. Also, it's weird that Rogue is last gen only (for now?) while Black Flag was cross gen.
  • Interesting concept to be hunting down Assassins for a change. Not sure how I feel about it being exclusive to 360 and PS3 tho. With Assassin's Creed Unity and more and more up and coming big titles being announced as next gen exclusive I guess its nice for those that havent made the jump yet to still have games to look forward to I suppose.
  • The picture with the sun over what seems to be NY looks like the one with Ezio climbing in Constantinople. Cool trailer, and this will likely be the last AC for last-gen. Just hope there isn't a new Templar's Creed spinoff series. The focus is definitely on Unity, but Rogue will still sell. Seems like assets from 3 and 4 will be used, but I am glad the focus is on new-gen for AC afterwards.
  • The premise of this game will be interesting. Can't wait to find out more.

  • I think releasing two games at once on different generations is weird. Why wouldn't they release Rogue on current gen too?
  • I'll wait for the inevitable PS4 port of Rogue, hopefully before next years crop of AC games.

  • Templar's Greed
  • And here I thought I was gonna have to miss out on an AC entry because of a lack of a next gen console. I am sooo hyped for Rouge and it's picked such a unique time period!!!
  • I don't know why any of you are so astonished by this. Ubisoft announced publicly that there would be TWO AC games this year, ONE of which would be for the PS3 and 360(Maybe PC?). We heard nothing about it all year until now, so yeah, it's not a surprise that this is a game coming out only on "last gen".
  • when you guys just announced the cover I had no idea that Rogue was even a thing... until you guys posted this right after haha

  • Exclusively for last gen? Looks sort of like a core title in the franchise releasing around the same time as Unity? What the hell is going on? I really don't like how Ubisoft has been treating this franchise
  • Cool idea and concept, stupid it's last gen

  • Hey it's the the Honest Trailers guy at the end!
  • Sucks that they couldn't have made this for Gamecube or Dreamcast. I mean if you're going with "retro", you might as well play it up so it's a bit more obvious. As it looks now, developing for nine-year-old technology just seems a bit lazy.
  • Interesting concept, though the whole Templar vs. Assassins story has begun to lose its originality. The same could be said for the game series itself, but I haven't actually played an Assassins Creed game since Brotherhood, so I suppose I'm not really in place to judge the series.

  • I'll be getting both AC games this year. At least I'll get over a month to finish Unity. I like to see that were playing as a Templar. Nice to see from a different perspective.

  • No PC version? I am trying to move on from last gen. Only a few more things I am getting from last gen, one is Persona 5. Anyways, come on, it could at least be on PC. What's so hard about that? Well, I guess it's because PC is next gen, and has been for awhile.
  • Hmm releasing only on 360/PS3... Interesting strategy.
  • just when i thought the whole Assassins Creed genre was exhausted and played out...
