Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures

New Suits And Release Dates Revealed

Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, Pac-Man's return to 3D platforming, is coming to consoles in October, with the 3DS version following closely behind.

When we saw the game at E3, we were only able to check out one of Pac-Man's suits. The chameleon suit granted Pac-Man a long tongue which helps him combat ghost enemies and swing on poles. In the latest batch of screens for the game we can see a new flame suit, an ice suit, and what appears to be a magnet suit of some kind.

The game will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC (by way of Steam) on October 29. The 3DS version of the game will be available on November 26. You can check out a collection of new screens for the game in the gallery below. For more on the game, check out our hands-on time with the game at E3.

  • Pac Man SUITS! WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sweet! I'm excited to get my hands on this game for my Wii U and 3DS, as I loved Pac-Man World 2 and 3!
  • Kirby-Man??

  • Lego Batman suits anyone.

  • Pac-Man holds a very special place in my heart so I hope this game isn't terrible. If it's anything like the Pac-Man World games, I'll be happy.

  • Pretty cool, I might consider getting this.

  • Hope this is good. Pacman is my favorite video game character. He has had a rough past few years.
  • Flame Suit = Super Saiyan Pac-Man.

  • Better line  up now

  • Out of curiosity, I've checked out the show a bit - it's good, decent fun for kiddies. Very much a "contemporary 80's cartoon" in tone, what with all the positive themes of friendships and trying your hardest and being responsible and all. Not to mention, the world of Pac-City, or whatever, is very Snorks/Smurf-like... I suppose that's bound to happen when everyone has to be inspired by a circle in some way:) The writing is certainly not up to Adventure Time or Gravity Falls standards, (and definitely won't be attracting an audience of 20-30 somethings, like those shows do) but it's inoffensive and good for kids. And - I'll be honest - considering what you have to work with, it's a damn fine reimagining of "yellow circle thing eats dots, fruits and ghosts."

So good on Namco for successfully bringing the Pac Back. Here's hoping the game can continue the momentum, 'cuz it has a bit of a legacy to live up to. At least the first two Pac Man World games were super, super fun. I STILL can pop in Pac Man World 1 for the PSX and have a good time playing it.... just wish Sony would put it on the PS Classics part of the Playtation Store so I wouldn't have to grab my disc to do so. Not to mention, it's just always nice to see colorful, fun-looking games on the HD consoles. With Skylanders, Disney Infinity, Knack, Sonic Lost Worlds, Super Mario 3D World and Pac-Man now all coming out in full force this holiday season, it's a real good time for the Platformer! Shame Sly Cooper & the gang came out in February with their best game yet and largely got ignored by over-hyped, disposable *** like Dead Space 3...
  • In other news, Frogger is still sitting in the corner wearing the dunce cap, Namco.
