Saints Row IV

Oh Saints Can You See The President In Action

Volition's Saints Row: The Third was one of the most absurd, over the top experiences of this generation. When THQ bumped a planned super-powered, alien infested expansion pack in favor of waiting for the next retail installment, there was much lamenting. Thankfully, it seems like it's been worth the wait.

New publisher Deep Silver has upped the insanity for Saints Row 4. As you'll see in the brand new trailer below, the President of the United States is well endowed... with super powers. It's only about a minute and a half long, but the video gives us a good look at what's in store when Saints Row 4 arrives on August 20 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

  • This has to be the release I'm looking forward to over the summer. Can't wait for more over the top action!

  • Screw Saint's Row; this franchise is really, really stupid.

Can we please get a Sleeping Dogs 2? This industry is flat-out stupid if that never gets a sequel and yet we have to suffer through 4 versions of "Retarded GTA" here...
  • Hmm.. beng to toss folks in the air and body slamming them into ANYTHING!!!!!  Dear god ....sold.  True politics is just as insane and ridiculous!!!!

  • AAHAH THIS WAS FREAKING AMAZING I AM REALLY wanting this game ahaha

  • Yeah, I'm still not interested. I love ridiculous games, like Borderlands 2 and Blood Dragon. Granted, they're both FPS, but I play many different genres. This is the kinda ridiculousness that's just.. meh.

Let's see what else is on.

  • Can we get a open world Avengers game!

  • Saints Row the Third was a little meh, and this one looks just like it... hope it has more content. Picking it up regardless.

  • I THINK ITS COOL YOU GOT THE SUPER POWERS FROM THE START. THIS IS LOOKING LIKE ANOTHER AWESOME SAINTS ROW GAME.

  • God, I miss SR2.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAno... This level of ridiculous looks like something more fit for DLC. Having a full game be like this doesn't sit well with me for some reason.
  • My fellow Americans, I did not just repeatedly hurl that women to buildings using telekinetics.

  • This just...no. This isn't Saint's Row at all...

  • F**K the rules lets just make it insane XD

  • Even for Saints Row, this is a little much.

  • Every game just keeps getting crazier and crazier. It is insane. I love it!

  • 'Murica! hell yea!

  • Hey I voted for the Saints. Red and Blue are too full of themselves and can't get crap done. Purple Party! Still as much I read. I just read negative comments. As I see it. I just read that people are just don't know how to have fun. Sanity is boring. Insane is so much better. GTAV is on my list and I did pre-order but really as I see it SR and GTA are at the same level. Just GTA is for good story and characters. SR is just blowing off steam and a lot of balls punching.
  • I may not be able to get it day one, but I will definitely buy it if nothing else for the sheer insanity.  I hope Troy Baker returns for this game.

  • It will hold me off until Project: Awakened or Second Son is out.

  • Games like this walk across a very small tightrope between two pits, called "Awesome" and "Nuts."
