The lights are on
In a world where April Fools' Day jokes become real, one cyborg is all that stands between humanity and cyber hell. He is Michael Biehn (playing Sgt. Rex Power Colt), and his game is Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Ubisoft has finally confirmed the worst kept secret of the week.
Courtesy of the warped (and beautiful) minds of creative director Dean Evans and lead writer Lucien Soluban, Blood Dragon is set in a 1980s flavored reimagining of the year 2007. This standalone title uses familiar mechanics from December's Far Cry 3, except pirates and bandits are replaced by cyborgs. Outposts, which arguably made for the most interesting emergent narrative, are back and joined by a slightly different kind of wildlife. If you thought cassowary were nasty critters, you are in for a rude awakening.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is set to arrive on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC on May 1, 2013.

I'm still buying it regardless of it being on the internet for free pickings.I just think it's worth it from all I've seen.
Great trailer! So this is a stand alone game and not DLC?
Ha, the option to flip off the enemy! This guy already looks more badass than Duke Nukem! This looks radical!
I very recently got Battleblock Theater, Bioshock Infinite, an SNES copy of Super Metroid, and a Hyperkin Supaboy, but this somehow made my week. Well played, Ubisoft. Well played.
This looks ridiculously awesome. I never played Far Cry 3, mostly because I didn't really love what I played of Far Cry 2, but I love the whole 80's action movie homage thing going on here. I might have to check this out.
The only thing that would have made this trailer even better was if they had ended it by saying "Directed by Paul Verhoeven" haha.
I don't understand how this has anything to do with Far Cry 3. It seems like this should be a separate game, since it is completely unrelated to the Far Cry series.
Oh man, this looks amazing.
So is Dan freaking out over this or what?
Pretty much the best trailer ever..
This game looks incredibly funny and I'm looking forward to playing it.
OT Just watching this I wish some developer would take a hint and do a retro 80's gi joe game just like this.
Looks radical. I'm in.
THIS LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
ive long since put down FC3, but this piques my interest. can't wait for the steam sale.
This is one of the best trailers I have ever seen! I can't believe this game is real, totally radical man.
