Tracking Your Resident Evil 6 Stats

Capcom released a new video showcasing all the features for its new stat-tracking service Resident Evil.net. The new service is similar to what we're seeing in Call of Duty with Elite and Battlefield 3 with Battlelog. Resident Evil.net tracks all your stats in real-time, shows how your friends are doing, and other notifications.

Resident Evil 6 is due out on October 2 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC version is coming at a later date. Check out the video below.

  • That's cool, I guess.

  • NO ONE WILL USE THIS! Please don't waste dev time on things like this. That's all I can really say.
  • Is Capcom seriously trying to turn this series into CoD. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at what this series has become.
  • I do love keeping up with my stats.

  • Now waiting for the premium service.

  • This stat tracking is getting a little annoying. I don't mind it here in RE6 but when every game has stats and k/d ratio it produces nothing but k/d ratio camping in every game. Stats are fun but it's gotten out of hand and needs to go away from games for a while. Remember when we just played for the fun of it. I miss those days.
  • Interesting...but unnecessary
  • Looks more like Rockstar Games Social Club, rather then Battlelog to me.

  • Every game needs stats. Games that don't feel as if I don't accomplish anything.

He said Resident Evil 21 times in that video.
  • This is cool, they have a lot of content for the game i just hope the actual game doesnt suck like the demo.

  • *briefly looks over comments* Well, I am the only person on the planet who appreciates these sort of services, evidently.
  • the narrator sounded a unamused

  • cool vid and interesting content, but one of the worst narrators ive ever heard.... lol

It's cool to hate on RE since RE5 now, I get it. I've been a fan since the original way back when on PS1, and have been hooked ever since. My favorites in the series are REmake, RE2 and RE4.

If you don't like the series, or don't like what you've seen of RE6 so far, that's okay. Most of the people I hear complaining about it though flip flop on every article about this game. The camera was a problem in the demo, and a few users trash the entire game at every turn because of it. I posted this response to more than a few users complaining about it---> There were certain things that gamers felt stressed about,” producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi explained to IGN. “One of the main concerns was the camera.

“We decided that was one thing we had to fix, that we had to work on that camera – we’re actually working on that right now. We want to make sure that camera doesn’t interfere with your gameplay experience.”

Yet they just keep posting the same regurgitated complaints about the game. *shrugs* Sometimes I think this generation is more about complaining and not what they actually enjoy from this hobby.

TL;DR: I really hope RE6 lives up to what I've seen so far. If the game is bad when I actually play it, I'll be the first to admit it, but from what I've seen so far they seem to be bringing back the atmosphere that the games retained in RE1-4.

I'm looking forward to it. Haters be damned. media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m79c0idAS11qlzlgo.gif

  • Lame, don't care.

  • This is a cool concept that I will definitely be using if the game interests me enough.

  • Interesting.

  • Lame!
