The lights are on

Well, let's see...today is the 4th of July, so today is Day 100 (one-zero-zero), and it is also my 100 (one-hundredth) blog today also, which is a neat coincidence. Yes, if you've been wondering, There was no "Day Ten" or "Day 11". Those were "Day 10" (one-zero) and "Day 11" (one-one). Why? That's binary language! I don't want to be like everyone else, so with my first 31/31, I did Roman Numerals, and for this 31/31, I'm using binary. When, on July 1st, I discovered that if I did this, I would write my 100th blog on July 4th, and 4 in binary is 100, so I thought, well, I had to do a 31/31 then. That's why those days were like that-here's a table if you need any more clarification.
Because of this coincidence, I decided, well, to blog about my 100 most favorite games. Below is a list of those games. However, there are a couple catches: first, I haven't beaten every single one of those games, nor have I actually even played all of them, but, I love them so much, I had to include them. Those games will be marked accordingly with astericks. Also, if you're going to write something like "why is Red Dead/Grand Theft Auto not here", then well, uh...it's my list, and I'll keep in that way. However, I will admit it was a bit hard for me to come up with 100 games, and then think of a couple others I wanted to substitute in, so, this list won't be perfect.
My love for certain games changes almost daily, so really, there is no definitive list. However, what is good is that I can a least give you all a general impression of what games I like more than others. So, a game in the bottom 10 will most likely never beat out anything in the top 50, so you'll know that I like that game less than the others. If anything changes for me personally, it'll always be within 10 spots of it, no more. I'm giving that much leeway, just in case. What jumps around most is really the top 20. So first, let's get to the long list...also, if the game has a hyperlink, that means it's linked to a trailer of it that I liked quite a bit, enough to watch after it's release.
*=played, but not finished **=not played
There, that's the long, exhaustive list...and that took awhile to sort out as well...I am not looking back through it, because I am soooooo going to disagree with something...anyways, that's NOT the end of the blog. It's time foooooor....analysis!...yay, confetti...
As you can see, RPGs are huge for me. The reason the Action/Adventure is so high is because I included the Zelda titles in it, which boosted it quite a bit. The FPS category was higher than I expected, possibly because of my inclusion of every Half-Life sans the PS exclusive Decay, the decision to have each Metroid Prime, and label Borderlands as a FPS rather than an RPG, because to me, it plays like a FPS, so I consider it one. For the Other category, I included party games, tower defense, and whatever genre Pokémon Snap is.
That Nintendomination. If you add it all up, Nintendo games account for 61/100, which is, well, a big fraction, and many of those games are exclusive, first parties. The reason PC is so big is that it is where I play third-party titles. If you looked on the list, you may have seen a couple things, such as Justice For All, FF VI, and Pokémon Snap being listed for Wii, and Chrono Trigger for DS. Well, I played CT on the DS remake, and the former 3 I played on Wii, so yeah.
Alright, well, that's it for today. To close out for today, I'll leave a little hint: tomorrow will be my 101th blog...and will be July 5th, or, Day 101...so yes, something special will also be planned for tomorrow...trust me, it will be...hm...wonderful...
Still the best ever.
