Splinter Cell Blacklist In Action On The Wii U

Using both the GamePad's touchscreen as well as its motion controls, playing Splinter Cell Blacklist on the Wii U gives gamers unique control of Sam Fisher's OpSat.

The new trailer for the Wii U version of the game shows off the GamePad's features, which let you mark and kill multiple targets, change your weapons, pilot drones, use the sticky cam, and more.

Splinter Cell Blacklist for the Wii U comes out on August 20. For another look at the game, check out more footage of it in action.

  • Very cool. I like the different features so I'll be looking into this version of the game. So far Ubisoft has shown they know how to use the Gamepad appropriately.
  • Well another Wii U game added to the list. My preorder will be set later on today. I already have 25 Wii U on my shelf, and after "Pikmin", "Deus Ex", "Game and Wario", "Wind Waker" and "Blacklist" will make 30 Wii U games. Maybe there are some I have overlooked. I check Gamestop's shelves when I go and preorder.

  • Ubi Soft does a pretty good job of utilizing the Gamepad. But y'know what I really wanna see? An RTS. For once, a Battalion Wars game would actually make PERFECT sense with the hardware. Play it like a third person shooter with vehicles via the sticks and buttons on the TV, than look at the touch screen to move units around. Tap a tank, draw a line, and off it goes! Also, Pokemon Snap. Hold the stupid Gamepad up to the TV, use the touchscreen like a viewfinder on a really large camera, voila! How can Nintendo not be coming up with these ideas themselves? How unprepared were they for this thing - their OWN MACHINE? It's really, truly baffling. E3 2013 better kick ass, Nintendo.
  • I'll probably get this. Once I get a Wii U...

  • Cool usage, bro.

  • So, are people who like Splinter Cell really excited about this game? I'm not a big fan, so correct me if I'm wrong, but this seems like a huge step down for the series.

  • dont know if ill pick this up, didn't feel like conviction was worth it

  • Cool!

  • Pretty nifty if you ask me.

  • Splinter Cell, you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention. Buying it day 1
  • I am sooooo getting this version!!!

  • I am totally buying this game for Wii U!
  • Cool beans.

  • Interesting gimmick.

  • Finally, the Wii U's getting some triple A support. Now if only MGS V could be announced for Wii U. (in my dreams)
  • I'll keep my eye on this one.

  • Hail to Ubisoft for keeping the Wii U alive while everyine else (even Nintendo) wait.

  • I am still a little bitter about the Rayman fiasco, but it looks like Ubi is making up for it. This looks slick and Rayman is getting a ton of new content, so I guess its ok. I still think September is a bad time for a Rayman game. He coulda shined so bright and got the attention he deserves on the Wii U back in February. Ill support Ubi though becasue they do make some great games and any games are welcomed on the U right about now.
