The lights are on
Quite frankly one of the best games i have ever played. This game is up there with my most favorite games of all time. Though the PC port itself isn't optimized very well, I didn't have a problem at all since I used a 360 controller (HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING CONTROLLER SINCE CONTROLS ARE EXPLAINED WITH THE 360 BUTTONS AND NOT KEYBOARD KEYS). Keep that in mind when purchasing the game as it can be very confusing trying to work out controls and you'll most likely have to look online and/or use a guide on steam. Not worrying about the poor PC port though this game is the most fun I have had in a while with a game, I played almost for a whole day staight since I couldn't stop playing. I have just beaten the game and am now moving on to the NG+ part of the game which it does well as the enemies are much more difficult to kill and they do more damage as well you will get access to new weapons and armor. As you may know this game is not for anyone looking for a fun and easy hack and slash RPG like Skyrim (Which I love, also one of my favorites) it requires patience and has a steep learning curve. Though you can make the playthrough a lot easier if you take advantage of the multiplayer aspect of the game as it lets you summon other players to come and help you defeat bosses or get through difficult zones. Saying that I would recommend trying the area or boss first without getting help from others as it will add to the challenge but that is just my opinion. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone that is looking for a solely great story driven game as there isn't really one there, it is sometimes unclear where you are meant to go later in the game but I didn't feel this was a huge problem. While we are talking about the story, if you are unsure whether or not to get this game before the first Dark Souls I wouldn't worry about getting this one and would actually recommend it as it does a better job of explaining some of the mechanics to you. The downside to this is you may not get some of the references in game (minor downside). I would highly recommend this game to anyone who is in the mood for a challenge and wants a great new game.
Praise the Sun/10!
