Assassin's Creed 3 did little to enthrall me at its start, but as the story grew and progressed, I became immersed. I will do my review with five major points: Gameplay, Narrative, Replay-Ability, Sound, and Graphics. At each of these points, I will give a score between 1 and 10. At the end I will announce the final score. Please note: The final score is not an average of all five points score, it is what I give the game with all these things combined.

Gameplay: 8.5/10

The gameplay of Assassin's creed was phenomenal. Countering and then attacking was the move I used 99% of the time, but the way in which I attacked was unique. When two enemies both went to attack me at the same time, a "kind of" cut-scene went of that showed Connor masterfully handling both enemies. One problem I have is that enemies will wait their turn when attacking me, instead of attacking me all at once, which would be more realistic.

Story: 9.5/10

As I stated above, the introduction was very lackluster and didn't capture my attention. Once we delved deeper into the story, however, I grew interested. The ending was surprising and the connection to actual history phenomenal. One problem I had with the story was its believability. It becomes harder and harder to believe that Connor took part in every conceivable important historical event in this timeline.

Replay-ability: 9.75/10

This game is fairly long and that counts towards replay-ability. Another great plus for replay-ability is Assassin's Creed multiplayer.

Sound: 9.25/10

The sounds of this game are phenomenal. It makes that game much more epic than it would be with the absence of these remarkable sounds.

Graphics: 8.25/10

The graphics of Assassin's Creed 3 are shooting for realism, and I feel they could have done much better. The character models are a little dated, but they are by no means bad. Another problem is glitches. Throughout the game you notice both gameplay and visual glitches. In one scenario, I had to shoot a dog and create a large fight in order to get one of my followers to become "unstuck" from a wall. These don't drag down the entire experience, but they are noticeable.

Final Score: 9/10

While this game does have its glitches and unbelievable story, it is still epic, and I'm anticipating the next installment in the series (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag) to see where Desmond's story will go next.

Recommendation: Yes
