The lights are on

Its an understatement to say there are many great games out there, but we know that all the games we know and love wouldn't exist or would suck if it weren't for the developers that put their blood, sweat, and tears into whatever game they are making. It only seems right that they get the praise they deserve. Here's my part. (these are in no particular order)
Chosen with the heavy task of making a quality Batman game, Rocksteady more than delivered. They put two of the best Batman games out, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. They accurately displayed Batman himself and his villains in a believable light. I don't know exactly what they have in store next, but if it has to do with a superhero, I'm all ears.
EA Black Box
A lesser known studio, Black Box successfully reinvented the skateboarding genre with the Skate series, a trilogy of games each better than the last. They included new mechanics into the games like the flick-it controls to make it easy to pull of kickflips and shuvits, to the hall of meat, which provided hours of fun hurting your skateboarding in cringing ways. I'm eagerly waiting a Skate 4.
Naughty Dog is one of the most decorated developers right now. From their early starts in Crash Bandicoot, to their rising thanks to Jak and Daxter, to their exploding success with Uncharted, they are one of the most confident developers in gaming. Their quality is not matched by many and when they have something to say, everyone listens. Right now they are developing the post-apocalyptic game, The Last of Us. This is definitely my most anticipated game right now.
Does this surprise you? Another very decorated developer, and again for good reason. Because of tons of great series they have under their belts like Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Kirby and many more, they are undoubtedly the most famous developer in video games. All of their games successfully blur the line between hardcore and casual gaming. No matter who you are, no matter what type of gamer you are, you can't deny the huge impact Nintendo has had in the industry.
So, that's part one of this series, I have several more developers that I will share to you is the next part of this series. Hopefully I'll get it out sometime this week. Thanks for reading!
