The lights are on
In 2007, Namco figured a way to breathe new life into the Pac-Man brand with Pac-Man Championship Edition. The upcoming update, Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+ looks even more dazzling.
Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+ is a downloadable update to the instant 2007 classic. The update will include new modes, improve leaderboard functionality, and give players access to DLC such as sprites from classic games like Dig Dug and Rally-X. The is available this week for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, and you can download the demo now, as you can see in the trailer below.

It's like Pac-Man slipped into the life of a drug addict following the plummet of his popularity, except that... uh... he found a new fortune in selling his trips as a video game. Were we wrong to tell the kids drugs are bad?
Seeing this game makes me even sadder that Giant Bomb's Ryan Davis passed away. In his review of CE DX, he wrote the perfect summation of the game: "Pac-Man Fever has been effectively weaponized." This new update would make him so incredibly giddy.
It's so neon, glad to see Namco doing a classic properly without sacrificing the core formula. I loved DX, this looks that much better.
Wow, I love this. The neon lights are fantastic.
Hmmm... That stinks. I thought this would be a perfect time to port it to the Wii U. Oh well...
Definitely getting this on PC.
This game looks really fun.
