The lights are on
Square Enix hasn't set a concrete date for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, but you can get a look at some of the game's locations and hear a few selections from its new audio drama.
The 30-minute audio episode is included in the credits for the game, and is written by scenario writer Kazushige Nojima. X/X-2 HD Remaster not only offers remastered HD versions of the titles, but also presents their international versions for the first time in North America. These included bonus boss battles, a video clip bridging the story between the two games, and more.
The game will also contain more than 60 tracks rearranged and/or remastered from the original FF X soundtrack.
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster comes out sometime this year for PlayStation 3 (on one disc) and Vita (as separate games). For more on the game's pre-order campaign and a side-by-side comparison of the SD and HD visuals for Final Fantasy X, take a look at this previous preview.

This looks really good.
More excited for this than next gen. Or anything else for that matter. Gimme that release date!!!
I've said this on a few KH:HD and FFX/X-2:HD articles saying I can get basically the same effect running my disc on an emulator with AA cranked up. But this latest batch of screenshots is very good, looks like they tweaked the lighting system as well as better textures.
I'd be more excited for this if it was the tenth game they're doing the HD/remake treatment to. They'll give IV twenty rereleases, but VII, VIII, and IX get none. With all the other crap SquareEnix has been doing lately, my faith in them has pretty much run out.
Can't wait, been looking for an excuse to play through it again.
So excited to dive back into this game! I'm ashamed to say as a very avid FF fan that I had to miss this one when it released...I mean, I still played it, but I never bought it originally, lol
I am happy for hd remakes of FF classics. It be even more awesome if the current FF games were made with such quality.
yea had great exsperance with that game.PROBLEM!!! is i dont have a PS3
Yo, I predict a trend in video games where eventually they just completely run out of ideas and then just start remastering/remaking old hits from 20 years ago.
Just ask Hollywood, you don't need any original ideas anymore, people before you already came up with them!
This actually does look pretty awesome. I really enjoyed 10, even the terrible laughing scene.
Whooo...hearing "From Zanarkand" again still gives me chills.
btw, what's up with that voiceover? What's with Tidus saying he only had a year with Yuna?
