NASCAR The Game: Inside Line's Real-Life DLC

NASCAR The Game: Inside Line comes out tomorrow, November 6, but starting next year you'll get to play through some of the 2013 season's greatest moments.

Inside Line Highlights are DLC based on telemetry from the events as they happen in real life. So if there's a late-lap, dramatic shootout in Texas, for example*, you'll get to play through that situation using the Inside Line game and downloading the DLC. Using the telemetry from the real cars, you'll see their placement on the track and speeds replicated faithfully in the DLC. These moments will task you with reliving the event as it happened, changing history and earning a different outcome, or going head to head against a driver's lap time.

These highlights will be available either in a pack or individually (prices not yet revealed). The game itself already comes with 14 highlight situations from the 2011 and early in the 2012 seasons, so you can get a taste of the feature before you buy any DLC.

Inside Line's DLC is available only for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, although there is a Wii version of the game.

Here's an example of one of the on-disc highlight scenarios: "Beat Wonder Boy"

*DLC does not include races at Bristol, Kansas, or Dover

  • well im getting the game, i hope it is better than last years. love me some racing! but im also getting halo 4 soooo racing might have to wait
  • wow awesome,

  • Alright then.

  • wow epic delay of all time.. they finally release this game just 2 races prior to the season being over.. think i'll stick to grand turismo since their support for their product is awesome

  • I love racing games. I'd like to think that I am open-minded when it comes to games, too. However, I can't see anything even mildly entertaining about this game or these challenges.

  • With the years it takes to make a single Gran Tourismo, it's looking like there's some serious racing competition here. Cool.

  • okay
