The lights are on
In a new video from The Order: 1886 developer Ready at Dawn, we get a look behind the scenes of the title’s antagonists. We’ve seen much about the The Order and its members (you can read up in our coverage hub from the November 2013 issue), but now we find out more about the design and technology behind the Lycans.
Werewolves in The Order: 1886 are the combination of calculating human intelligence and terrifying bestial physique. Their size, strength, and endurance makes them formidable foes (as we saw in the E3 trailer).
There’s more going on beneath the rippling, mutating flesh, though. The transformation and the anatomy has to feel authentic, all the way down to a Lycan’s big toe becoming a dew claw during the conversion process.
Hair, musculature, and bone structure have all been tuned to avoid a cartoonish look and appear as realistic as possible. The Order: 1886 is due out on February 20, 2015. You can read up on our impressions here.
This game is looking better and better. Hopefully it turns out as good as it looks.
Now this will be a game that will simply be amazing and can't wait for more. It's good they took more development time to make the game because this will be epic.
Still very excited about this.
Looks great! Though I'm not scared of them, probable because of the voice. I'm scared of the figure and the flesh and everything except for the voice.
Pure nightmare-fuel; I love it.
Its gonna be one hell of a ride!!!
Can't wait for this! It, Uncharted 4, and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain are my most anticipated games right now. lol
This is gonna be a great game.
From now on this game will be henceforth known as The Asparagus. Cause the Odor reminds me of a certain someone. I am definitely looking forward to this game though.
Is Lon Chaney and Lon Chaney Jr. gonna be with them? Along with the Queen?
I want this game to be awesome so I have an excuse to buy a ps4 - lol
This actually makes me want to buy a PS4.
Wish i had money for my wants...
It's like playing a movie.
I love the developer's face on the video thumbnail/
