The lights are on
Ubisoft’s UbiArt Engine has been under the hood of some gorgeous titles, include two Rayman games and the recently released Child of Light. Today we know when Valiant Hearts: The Great War, the next UbiArt game, will be in our hands.
Ubisoft will be shipping us off to the World War I-era Europe on June 25, 2014. The publisher describes the game as a “puzzle adventure.” We also know that there will be a number of different characters involved, including a dog that encounters all of them.
Valiant Hearts: The Great War will be available for $14.99 on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC.
I really enjoyed Child of Light. My GOTY so far. I love Ubi art and am looking forward to this game as well.
And to think that we all used to mock Ubisoft games (Assasins Creed 3) and business practices (Ubi-play) wait a second...we still do.
since i read about this in the magazine, i've had it on my "to play" list for this year. i can't wait. june is nearly here.
I'm really loving the (art) direction Ubisoft is going with this. (That was terrible, I know.) Ubi Art has been pumping out amazing games so far, I loved the Raymen titles and I've been hearing a lot of good things about Child of Light I am considering on picking it up soon. This really grabbed my attention though, looking forward to it!
This looks like it could be one of the finest stories to come out in a long time...
Sweet! This is a day 1 buy for me.
Looks great. But this and Child of Light I think were experiments to see how the perception of Ubi's new engine for the art style like this game is. Child of Light was fantastic, but short for an RPG. It took me 10 hours, and I thought I was going at a steady pace.
This I hope will be longer. Nonetheless, I'll probably buy this game and WILL buy a Child of Light sequel if it comes out.
A World War 1 puzzle game? Count me in, I feel WWI is an undeserved period for some gaming.
Going to totally buy this when it comes out! So pumped!!!!
Really looking forward to this, always wanted a WW1 era game.
With every piece of news on Child of Light, I would always ask the question of, "Yeah, yeah, that looks like a thing I guess. Now where's Valiant Hearts?" Glad I don't have to ask that question any longer.
There was something about that trailer that almost made me break down and cry.
Why not Wii U? Come on Ubi.
It is nice to see a game focus on World War I, which seems to be a hugely neglected war in Games.
