Madden NFL 15

Release Date And First Teaser

Try to ignore the confusing naming convention (last year’s Madden title carried the number “25” in celebration of the series hitting the quarter-century mark). Today we’ve got our first (ever so brief) look at Madden NFL 15.

The short clip features Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly and his in-game model. EA promises that we’ll see more in June.

This year’s cover vote will be announced on May 8, coinciding with the NFL Draft. Madden NFL 15 will be out on August 26 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3.

  • As much as I want to play a football game I refuse play Madden because I believe their no competition contract with the NFL is ridiculous. Back when there was competition between 2K and Madden we had companies trying new things and even got price drops. Now its just been stagnation and we have to be happy with any new update madden decides to give us.

  • Only picking this

Up if they make serious improvements with next gen.

  • Need to see a hell of a lot more before I ever buy Madden again.

  • I played Madden on both generation consoles and the next gen version was atrocious. Hopefully it will be fixed.

  • madden 25...feels like that game released like... last week. D:

  • I just hope they make the tackling more REALISTIC this year. It was absolutely TERRIBLE in '25.

  • Another average at best installment of this mediocre franchise. Buy it up, suckers! Mainly because you don't have a choice if you want to play video game NFL football.

  • Here we go again...yipee...incredible...revolutionary

  • I skipped 25 and just updated my roster from 13 last year. I guess I'll be getting this in August. Hope they actually put effort into the 360 version.
  • The last Madden I bought was 09 on PS3. Looking forward to getting back into football games.

  • I'm pumped...so many haters.

GameInformer recently released an article detailing the huge strain annual game developers have on them. And just how misunderstood they are. It is so obvious sometimes just how ignorant some can be.

What they are sometimes able to pull off in a year is incredible.

That being said, it's the stuff that goes missing that bothers me. Luckily (despite what people here seem to have forgotten), their transition to next gen this time around was 100 times better than last. This bodes well.

Their connected franchise stuff is really coming around. Not to mention ultimate team. And the improvements to the engine were excellent. Anyone hating on the M25 engine need simply play M13 for a bit to silence themselves. If they can continue that level of sharpening, I think we will be just fine.
