Bungie's Official Destiny Website Updates With New Images And Video

Bungie's official Destiny website has gotten a large update adding all kinds of video content to the site.

You can head here to take a look, just make sure you have an updated browser. The new videos aren't in trailer form, but are instead split into little sequences spread throughout the updated site. Along with clips of gameplay on the main page, you will also find videos showcasing the Titan, Warlock, and Hunter classes, as well as find factoids on the Fallen, Hive, Vex, and Cabal enemies.

For more on Destiny, check out all of our features from when the game appeared on our cover.

  • No PC for Destiny? :/ why? I mean this is FPS right? So why no PC? Or i dont see it? :)

  • The updated site looks absolutely amazing!! Cant wait to play the Hunter class. I plan to go with the Exo race. I do wonder if those speed racers are unlockable, buyable or temporary for certain aspects though but they are still an epic addition.

  • The new site looks awesome but I'm at that point where I've seen more than enough and I no longer want any information/screenshots/videos and all I want is to get my hands on the game.
  • I really want to like this game, but at the same time I don't want to overhype it. I got excited for Titanfall, but didn't blow it out of the water until I played the beta and loved it. It really helps you appreciate a game more when you don't expect all of these things from it. Of course it is reasonable to expect up to a certain amount though.
  • Destiny is Love.

  • Release date yet?
  • They always make the best armor designs!

  • This game looks unbelievable!! The story of Destiny has me excited and I'm interested to see their take on the multiplayer universe they've created while still having a campaign living inside of it. Pretty sure I'll be going with the Warlock class.

  • gahhh I can't wait to play it!

  • This is my most anticipated game of this year. Words like epic and fun come to mind whenever I see this game.

  • Can't wait to play it.

  • So I finally got to explore the site and see the videos and I must say that although I'm not a huge fan of this genre, I'd still want to play it because the story seems very solid, and is slightly more grounded to our own Solar system; although the characters, not. It's no surprise that Bungie has an extremely deep background of information to help aid in plot, so I'm quite curious to see how it all plays out. To use our own planets feels more tangible and gives me a little more excitement because it's right in our own "back yard." We'll get to see (interpretations of) landscapes that we've wanted to see for quite a while.

Although all of this is great, one thing Bungie did again (which I have never been a fan of), was add a zombie element to the plot. The Hive apparently have other motives in mind, but it's still unclear as to how they fit into the main plot. Sound familiar? I'm sure not many people will mind, but I guess it's just me whining about how I'm sick of the zombie craze. Aside from that one little complaint I'm still quite curious to see how the story plays out.

Each description of characters and enemies/races is quite short, but the descriptions are so well done we get a very solid idea of what to expect heading into Destiny. Four different enemy races, and each has very unique aspects that really evoke thoughts about their history and how each race came to be what they are now. Character development is always that make-or-break aspect, and clearly Bungie hit the "make" mark on their characters.

If anyone hasn't looked yet, I highly recommend taking a look at the site. It's very simple and fun to explore, but like Mr. Hilliard said, be sure to have the latest version of browser. Can't wait to see this game in action!

  • This game looks incredible so far. I really want to get some time with the beta, whenever Activision/Bungie decides to announce and release it.

  • I'm waiting for the beta. Should be sweet.
