The lights are on
If you've ever had a subscription to BioWare's Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO, or purchased something from the online store since the game went free-to-play, then you have achieved Preferred Status, and now have early access into the Galactic Starfighter expansion.
As an intergalactic war explodes across the universe, Star Wars: The Old Republic players will be able to jump into 12v12 Player-vs-Player dogfights. Gamers who like the piloting role can attack their foes with a heavy-hitting Gunship (check out the trailer below). This new digital expansion will become free to the rest of the public beginning on February 4.

The expansion really isn't that good. I've been playing it since December off and on, and it was really a let down.
I don't know why BioWare doesn't want a new influx of cash.
If EA or whoever let them work on a new KOTOR I would throw my entire wallet at them. TAKE MY MONEY DAMMIT!
...still actually more interested in Attack Squadrons, mainly because I expect that game to be less freemium about the space flight. Otherwise, YAY! SOMETHING WE'VE ONLY BEEN ASKING LIKE A DECADE FOR!
I'm sorry, these ships do don't do it for me - they're not star wars...y enough. To me they look more like something out of Wing Commander. Just my opinion though.
Haven't played this game since release, but I still get the gut feeling that EA/Bioware are grasping at straws with everything they release or do, to try lure people in.
But I dunno, as I said haven't played for ages - so feel free to correct me, if I'm wrong.
to bad they didnt have this on release of the game. THIS is what we asked for back then =/
Why do this when all people want is a competent X-Wing remake.
