The lights are on
Amnesia: The Dark Descent developers Frictional Games have shared another video from their upcoming project titled Soma. This time out, engineer Imogen Reed has a conversation with a seemingly sentient automaton.
This video, titled "Mockingbird" follows the first, called "Vivarium." Both set the stage for a freaky space-based title with machines that aren't quite what they seem.
We're learning more about Soma, and with each new video, the stage becomes set for another terrifying adventure.
Email the author Mike Futter, or follow on Google+, Twitter, and Game Informer.
I can't wait to hear some more solid info on this game, but I also wish more developers would do awesome stuff like the secret site being put up with all these teaser videos.
Definitely gonna have to watch for this game.
Looking more and more interesting.

Such an interesting story so far. Its hard to think of this as a game though. I feel like it'd make a better movie
I'm digging the SCP Foundation-type atmosphere this thing is evoking so far.
If you don't know what SCP is, it's like Creepypasta, except they're all framed in the same universe/device of this shadowy government-type agency charged with Securing, Containing and Protecting all these weird creatures. Some good, some bad, some in-between. It's fascinating. I found out about through io9: io9.com/.../enter-the-scp-foundations-bottomless-catalog-of-the-weird.
They're no Slender in terms of popularity or renown online, but there are some indie games cribbed in the universe, like SCP: Containment Breach, based on the story, "The Statue". I trust Frictional should deliver a much, much more notable (and better) experience though :)
I hate scary games, well everything frightening in general really, but the premise for this really has me intrigued.
I'm really curious who the player character will be.

Wow, these little vids are really interesting, even the title are perfect for what they are showing. "Mockingbird" a bird that copies other bird calls, it shows a computer, possibly, coping the room and the girl in it falling over after she said she thinks it died. "Vivarium" means "a place of life" usually a strictly controlled enviro for a specific animal or plant...in this case, maybe, advanced A.I.
