Square Enix Announces Digital Master Thief Edition

Eidos Montreal and Square Enix are teaming up to breathe new life into the Thief series with next year's reboot of the classic first-person stealth series. Ultra sneaky players can avoid being spotted at retail shops altogether by opting to download a special digital version of the PC build when it releases in February. The extras includes bonus game content, a digital comic book, and more.

Here's a full rundown of what you get if you download the Master Thief Edition:

  • Digital artbook including concept art
  • Digital comic book collection
  • Booster pack with optional in-game consumables that strengthen Garrett
  • Director's cut soundtrack
  • The Bank Heist, which involves infiltrating Stonemarket First Bank to steal a precious heirloom. It's also an homage to a similar mission from Thief II: The Metal Age.

Check out the full artwork for Thief Master Edition below.

Thief hits PS3, PS4, 360, Xbox One, and PC on February 25.

  • This looks pretty awesome :3 I think I may  play this soon

  • An actual collector's edition, please~
  • they turned this game into dishonored
  • YES...

  • Hmmmmm... this thief reminds me of tyrion

  • NOT SURE about this....last SE game that i played, other than FF, was Nier and was glad i rented it rather than bought it

  • I still think this game looks somewhat meh, especially when they're getting rid of most of the stuff that made Thief, THIEF like the Pagans and the Hammerites.

  • I really don't think this will turn out to be good.

  • I'll probably just steal a copy instead of buying it. That's like, totally in the spirit of the game right?
  • Eh, the typical digital copy exclusive line-up then.

  • Art-work look to notch, I must have this NOW!

  • Digital collectors edition... That is the most stupid thing I have ever seen or heard... Well this and valve console

  • That's not a bad digital edition. Although before I want to see a physical collector's edition before deciding if this is the one I want to pick up.

  • Thief:TDP and TMA are the scariest games ever.  Hopefully this installment will be just as scary.

  • Looks pretty neat!  I am not into the stealth games, but if I was, I am sure this would be at the top of my list, especially with a next gen version coming!
