The lights are on
The last time Kojima was at Gamescom was over five years ago, but he wanted to show off the improved box technology for his new game, so he took the stage to talk about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
In Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, players can pop out of a box to take enemies out, use the Fulton recovery system while in a box, and even jump out the the box if spotted.
At Sony's press event we got a deeper look at some other cool ways to use a box. While remaining in the box, Big Boss can stand up, but it might not alert enemies because an image of a soldier will have enemies thinking that Big Boss is one of their own. Another box sticker we showed had the image of a bikini model on the side, which attracted a soldier and proved to be an effective decoy luring enemies where we wanted them.
The end of the demo showed Big Boss putting a PS4 box over his head before sitting on the ground. It's a silly way to end the demo, but it was funny. People laughed. You might have had to have been there.

Damn deemo's
Heh, so the box is becoming more tactical, lol. Anything with Metal Gear in the title gets me excited and this game, is no different.
Best part of Gamescom so far
Soooooooo release date yet or are we still going by "early 2015?"
This is really silly and awesome. I wonder if there are some soldiers the ladies won't work on like in MGS3.
If I was one of those guards and snake tried to pull that mess on me, he'd be dead.
Can't go wrong with the cardboard box, obviously a staple of all MGS games it's funny as it is useful!
All this did was make me excited to watch the actual PP presentation.
This was the best trailer of the show.
I want this game so bad! I need to repurchase and play MGS4 to hold my cravings for this game at bay.
That was funny and weird. Now I just want to know when MGSV is coming out.
