The lights are on
Warner Bros. and DC have unveiled their latest effort to celebrate Comic-Con and the 75th anniversary of Batman. A number of life-size recreations of the dark knight's signature cape and cowl are now on display at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego.
The "Cape/Cowl/Create" event was shown for the first time last night and is available to the public from today until 7 pm on Sunday. Those interested in looking to see some sweet Batman art can do so by visiting the Legends Room at the Hard Rock Hotel.
Many of the designs were inspired by the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight, though contributions were also made by Zack Snyder, director of Batman v. Superman, and Will Arnett, who starred as Batman in The Lego Movie. Other artists offered their own contributions as well. To see some of our favorites, take a look at the image gallery below.
Comic-Con is in full swing and we sent associate editor Kyle Hilliard down there to explore the show. Don't miss the awesome cosplays or his tour of the show floor.
Some of the cowl choices seem... interesting? But the exhibit overall looks like a lot of fun.
Joker themed one = amazing. Shows how Batman and the Joker are entwined and are one, in a way. Plus, Bats could use a smile once in a while.
That skull faced Batman is awesome. Shows how well that one would work in a hyper real world setting. Much better than the Snyder 89 movie/90's rubber necked suit throwback of the upcoming Batman V Superman.
The Joker themed suit looks fantastic. This looks like a great exhibit.
The joker bat suits are purely awesome.
That Joker batsuit....I need
Why is there a Rorshach costume in that exhibition? Does his mask have a Rorschach bat symbol on it that we can't see? Edit: I actually think Snyder is trying to say Rorchach is an alternate reality version of Batman since the Trenchcoat suit is obviously our favorite Watchman and doesn't have a bat symbol on his face.
would love a rorschach skin for Arkham Knight
