The lights are on
Update: Square Enix has confirmed the translation of the Famitsu article. Unfortunately, Kingdom Hearts 3 (except for the piece of the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix trailer) and Final Fantasy XV will not be present at E3.
Original Story:
It looks like we have some bad news for Square Enix fans. News has surfaced that two of the publisher’s most anticipated titles are skipping E3 next week.
Famitsu had the opportunity to interview Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto. During the conversation, Hashimoto says that fans will have to wait until after E3 for more information on Final Fantasy XV. We already know that Square Enix isn't rushing the title.
As for Kingdom Hearts 3, a new trailer will shed a little light on the story, but more details on the title are likely to be further off. We’ve reached out to Square Enix for confirmation and more detail. We’ll update should we receive a response.
Final Fantasy XV, which was formerly under development and Final Fantasy Versus XIII, has had a long development arc. You can read about its long path here. Kingdom Hearts III was announced at E3 last year, fulfilling fan desires for a fully numbered sequel.

Our TakeThis is disappointing as a fan of Kingdom Hearts and someone who was very interested in the Final Fantasy XV trailer shown last year. Chin up, Square Enix fans.
This is very disappointing for me Mike, as I too am a Kingdom Hearts fan and was myself interested in what was shown for FF XV. I hope this doesn't end up being true :(
People need to actually read every point of information. Hashimoto said that for both games there would be information at events after E3. WHile E3 is big, for Square, being a Japanese based company, Tokyo Game SHow is most likely a bigger event for them. There's a chance that both games are skipping e3 so they can focus on new games (some unannounced), while these games will possibly be shown at TGS.
*Flips table* this is bad news.
I didn't expect them to show Kingdom Hearts as that's likely still a looong ways off. I'm a little disappointed they won't be showing anything from FFXV, but what I would really like from them is some sort of release window. If they came out and said it should be out Spring 2015, Holiday 2015, or heck, even sometime in 2016 that would be perfectly fine with me. I'd be happy just to have some sort of time frame.
I can imagine KH. But FFXV? damnit.
Square Enix has really been dropping the ball over the last decade. I don't think at this point they will ever return to their former glory. It's really sad to see them so out of touch (at least with the west...I can't say I know what Japan's opinion on SE is).
Well, there goes my expectations for SE...lol. They have consistently been poor over the last couple of years, and I was hoping they could pull some support at E3. Just because these games aren't being shown isn't necessarily a bad thing. But hopefully they have SOMETHING to show.
I'm just glad they'll shed light on the plot, having so many spin offs, it's hard to keep track on the story.
I dunno, just seems a little strange for them to have an E3 trailer for II.5 remix with a KHIII tease at the end and have it completely skip E3. I think he's just messing with us.
Please stop following the path of becoming the Japanese Valve...PLEASE
MOTHERF......
WELL I EXPECTED AS MUCH BUT... *starts to cry*
