The Pokémon Company International has announced that the upcoming Pokémon National Championships will be streamed online via Twitch.

The National Championships, where players will compete in the trading card game and in Pokémon X & Y, takes place July 4 through 6 in Indianapolis, Indiana. You will be able to check it out at when it is happening. The World Championships, taking place August 16 through 17 in Washington D.C., will also be streamed online.

If you're able to make your way to Indiana to spectate (or participate) in the championships in Indiana, you will be able to get your hands on a special Shiny Mamoswine. If you think you've got the skills to compete, you can head here to learn more about signing up.

Our Take
I think this has the potential to become a big event for Nintendo and Twitch. We already know people love watching each other play Pokémon online. To watch them compete in Pokémon online could be huge.
