Watch Dogs has a confirmed May 27 release date for PlayStation 4 and 3, Xbox One and 360, and PC, but the Wii U version's release has been a mystery. The Wii U version of the game showed up recently on Ubisoft's official online store with a Fall 2014 release window, and Ubisoft has confirmed the accuracy of the window for launch.

The date was noticed by website Nintendo Enthusiast, which later received confirmation from Ubisoft that it is targeting a Fall 2014 release date for the Wii U version of the game.

Shortly after the game's new release date was unveiled, Ubisoft commented on the Wii U version's delay saying the game required some additional development.

Our Take
It's disappointing that the Wii U version of the game won't be out at the same time as the other platforms, but I'm glad to hear Ubisoft is taking the extra time to tune the game to the Wii U's alternate interface. Hopefully it takes interesting advantage of the GamePad.
