The lights are on
If you thought Assassin’s Creed Unity’s leak and announcement was the end of assassin vs. templar speculation for the year, get ready for the bonus round. Rumors have surfaced that another title, planned for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, is in development right now.
The title supposedly stars a templar named Shay and is a direct sequel to Black Flag (complete with nautical adventures). The title is said to take place in 1758 New York and is rumored to be called Assassin’s Creed: Comet.
Halley’s Comet made its appearance in 1759. We’ve reached out to Ubisoft for comment.
Update: Ubisoft has responded to our request for comment. "We do not comment on rumors or speculation," a representative told us via email.

Our TakeGiven the consistency (and veracity) of leaks related to Ubisoft games, we suspect this might hold water. It wouldn’t be the first time two Assassin’s Creed games came in the same year, either. In 2012, Ubisoft released AC III and Liberation on the same day.
Huh. That's interesting.
Haha wow. As long as they don't ruin the Splinter Cell series by milking it like this, then I'm fine.
I don't know, it seems weird for Ubisoft to be making a full fledged AC game exclusively for last gen consoles. However given how cool the sailing aspect of AC4 was I could see them making a follow up game.
This will be my first game that I skip and hope for a PSNow release down the road. I am loving ACIV but will not be buying anymore PS3 games.
They already said they were making two different Assassins Creed games. One for the older systems and a separate one only for the new systems.
Great, now I have a reason to buy two AC games a year. Hope they don't repeat the good game on console and poor game on handheld trend they had going. I want a good game for both my PS3 and PS4.
..really?
Loved the sailing in Black Flag. Hated New York/Boston in AC3. We'll see how this turns out.
