The lights are on
Iwata used today’s Nintendo Direct to go into some additional detail about Mario Golf: World Tour. In particular, the new Castle Club mode lets players import their Mii into the game work to improve and level up, as well as train in particular skill areas to prepare for tournaments.
Players are able to customize their Miis with eight different item types available at the in-game shops. New items can change the playstyle of your character. By winning tournaments in Castle Club, you'll qualify for higher level tournaments.
Castle Club mode will show up when Mario Golf: World Tour arrives on 3DS on May 2nd.
