The lights are on
Nintendo's recent financial results briefing revealed the lineup of games coming to Nintendo's consoles in 2014.
These are the titles of the game as they appear from Nintendo. This list confirms that Super Smash Bros. will be coming this year, and its presumed true titles on both 3DS and Wii U aren't very creative. Nintendo's first party games have release dates, or at least release windows, while the third-party games from assorted publishers and developers are simply listed as arriving in 2014.

Nintendo also listed the following games as releasing outside of 2014. For some, it's the first we've heard of these games in a long time.
Noticeably absent from the list of third-party games coming to Wii U is Ubisoft's Watch Dogs. Rumors of the game's cancellation circulated online earlier this month when pre-orders were inexplicably cancelled. Ubisoft denied the cancellation, however, and retailers continue to accept pre-orders on the Wii U version of the game.

Our TakeNintendo's third-party offering here is slim. This isn't necessarily everything coming to the Wii U and 3DS from non-Nintendo companies this year, but at the outset, this is a disappointing list of third-party games. Also, the absence of Watch Dogs is troubling. The game has not been officially cancelled by Ubisoft, but its disappearance here certainly raises an eyebrow about its future. On the plus side... Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart this year worth getting excited about.
