The lights are on
It's no secret the Wii U is struggling. Whether its brand confusion over the difference between the Wii and Wii U, a lack of compelling software, the failure to sell gamers on why the GamePad is a game-changing innovation, or some other reason, Nintendo has clearly done a poor job at swaying consumers to its platform. So we pose the question to you, the readers, what does Nintendo need to do to convince you to buy a Wii U?
Do you need to see new IP from the mind of Shiguru Miyamoto? Does Nintendo need to bolster its online and multimedia offerings to be on par with the other consoles? Do you need to be convinced that if you buy the console, you won't miss out on the multiplatform games coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One? Whatever your justification, we'd love to hear what you think in the comments section below.

Release Smash Bros U.
I already have one, but they need revamp the online multiplayer system, with an easier way to add friends and keep tabs with them. They need to stop being conservative and allow us to use online co-op for games such as NSMBU and 3D World.
They need to give us better transparency regarding their pipeline for the year. I don't care about release dates, just give us updates on the games we are waiting for (Zelda, open world Mario, Metroid). At this point, they can't be playing coy; their userbase is losing faith in them.
Give better discounts to first party titles. One major reason I almost did not get the console was because I knew that their IP never gets devalued. There are still several original Wii titles that are still near 50 dollars.
Release "X" and Fire Emblem x SMG within this year.
It would take a lot since I haven't bought anything Nintendo past the Gamecube. They have great IP's that they aren't doing anything with. Maybe if they would do something with them I could see it in my living room. Monster Hunter and The Legend of Zelda isn't enough.
