Carnegie Mellon Video Game Tech Demo Challenges Your Perspective

A group from Carnegie Mellon's Entertainment Technology Center is working on a forced perspective game, and have some impressive technology to showcase in an interesting tech demo video.

The idea behind the game and tech demo is that objects, regardless of true size, will look larger or smaller depending on your perspective. That idea is manipulated in the interest of building a puzzle game. The tech demo video below is simply a proof of concept at the moment.

Developer Pillow Castle Games is promising more videos and updates in the future as it continues to flesh out the idea.

Our Take
Just watching the video sort of hurts my brain. I'm definitely curious to see the final product. Even as a tech demo, there are already a number of interesting mechanics at play here for solving puzzles.
