The lights are on
Sony and Ubisoft have announced that the PlayStation 3 HD version of Assassin's Creed: Liberation will be out on PlayStation 3 (via the PlayStation Store) on January 14, 2013. The title is an update to the Vita exclusive that launched in 2012 alongside Assassin's Creed III.
The new version features remastered music, improved gameplay, and even more narrative missions. You can read our review of the original release here.
The title is also bound for Xbox 360 and PC. No release dates for those versions have been confirmed. We've reached out to Ubisoft for clarification.
Update: Ubisoft has shared further information about releases on other platforms. The PC version will arrive on January 15, 2014. An Xbox 360 release is still slated for "early 2014."

Our TakeI liked Liberation's protagonist, Aveline, quite a lot. I had problems with Liberation's mission design and some of the narrative choices, though. I'm hopeful that the HD release fixes those things so that this chapter of the Assassin's Creed saga can live up to its potential.
