The lights are on
Borderlands 2 has been out for over a year now, and the community is still going strong. The title has seen two new playable characters added to the cast, four major DLC updates, and a number of tweaks and customization options to keep players hooked. Now, 2K Games and Gearbox are giving back to the fans.
Starting on October 11, 2013, players will be offered chances each week for the following four weeks to earn a variety of prizes. Borderlands characters will dish out targets for each week, and the those marks will drop new, unique loot 100 percent of the time.
Entries come in the form of beating the target, and those marks can be taken down every day for an entry. There are cash prizes on the line, with awards ramping up from $5,000 in the first week all the way up to a single $50,000 grand prize.
Other prizes include:
Cash and real prizes are restricted to United States players, but anyone can get the in-game loot regardless of geography. For complete rules visit www.borderlands2loothunt.com.
The Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition arrives on October 8 and packs in almost all of the previously-released content. You can read up on the upcoming bundle here.
Our TakeBorderlands 2 continues to have a thriving community a year after its release. This contest is a great way to give back to fans around the world (and especially here in the United States).
The best part is that the contest is tuned to welcome in players that will be joining the community for the first time with the Game of the Year Edition. Cash, prizes, and in-game loot? Sounds like a great time to go back to Pandora.
