The lights are on
The first Call of Duty: Ghosts tournament will be taking place just a 17 days after the game launches on current generation consoles and PC. 108 teams will be competing for $50,000 when the Major League Championships land in Columbus, Ohio.
The MLG Championships will be held from November 22 through 24. Of the 108 competing teams, 96 of them will be participating in the open field, with 12 in the championship bracket. The latter will be made up of the top eight ranked teams from the North American Xbox 360 Black Ops II field and four additional top teams from the open bracket. The competitions will be played on Xbox 360.
Team passes are available starting at 5 PM Eastern on Monday, September 30, in the MLG store. The registration fee is currently $280, but that will increase over time as follows:
VIP and general admission spectator passes are also available. VIP passes cost $250 and offer the following benefits:
General admission costs $35 through November 21. After that, the price goes up to $50 online and at the door. The Call of Duty: Ghosts championships will be running alongside the Dota 2 competition we've previously covered.
