The lights are on
The third season League of Legends World Championship begins today, ending October 4, and Riot Game has released a video for the event to get everyone excited.
If you're not already there in person at the event, which is taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, unfortunately, you've already missed your chance to grab tickets. They were all sold out within an hour when tickets when on sale in August. Luckily, the event is streaming online, which you can see on LoLeSports.com.
Competitors from North America, Europe, China, Korea, and South East Asia will all be competing for portions the $8 million prize pool.
Our TakeLeague of Legends' popularity is staggering. If someone could figure out a way to combine it with Minecraft, I think everyone else would just give up on trying to make video games forever.

I will be watching! Last year's finals were great.
Does Team Ninja pay GI handsomely? The advertisement for DoA5: Ultimate is insane! Banners, video previews, contests, etc. I get it! The game is out now, please just let me go about my business without the constant reminders lol.
Great news for eSports but i'm not super convinced it's the biggest event of the eSports year, it's gunna be hard to top the International, a full week of passionate Dota, compared to a full month of passionate League, still all good news for eSports
I really like last years finals. I hope this years are as great as last years.
Let the button mashing begin.
Isn't LoL a DotA spinoff?
