Ex-Epic President Mike Capps Joins Remedy Board of Directors

Mike Capps, one of the many high profile employees to leave Epic Games, has accepted a position on Alan Wake/Quantum Break developer Remedy's board of directors.

Capps announced that he was retiring from from Epic in late 2012, but said that he would remain on the company's board of directors. However, in March 2013, he made a Facebook post saying that he was "no longer affiliated with Epic Games."

In an interview with GamesIndustry International, Remedy CEO Matias Myllyrinne announced that Capps was joining the company's board. Myllyrinne said, "Obviously Mike has a tremendous track record in the games industry. He's been very successful and has proven himself over and over again."

Our Take:
While I still want to know what happened behind the scenes at Epic in the past year, I doubt any of the major players will ever talk. I'm glad to see that Capps, a very capable and knowledgeable executive, is staying in the game industry, especially at a creative and talented studio like Remedy.
