The lights are on
One of the few indie titles announced for Xbox One is also making its way to Sony's next-gen system.
After parading a few fans out donning boxy Creeper masks, Sony announced that the PS4 will be receiving its own version of Minecraft. Sony didn't share any details about the title other than its existence, but Minecraft fans know what to expect by now. After the show, Minecraft's creator tweeted the following message, confirming the game's appearance on all three of Sony's platforms.

PS4, PS3 and Vita
The announcement that Minecraft is coming to Sony's platforms is a surprising one; Microsoft has enjoyed console exclusivity of the popular voxel sandbox series on the 360, and when the company announced an Xbox One version, many assumed it had shored up next-gen exclusivity as well.
We'll have to wait for more information on both titles to see how the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Minecraft compare, but the announcement is good news for prospective PS4 owners.

Awesome!
That's cool. I still can't believe how many people play it on Xbox.
that's cool I guess. Minecraft seems to be everywhere these days, so why not ps4?
As one of the people who was under the impression Minecraft would be console-exclusive to the Xbone, color me surprised.
This is great news. I loved Minecraft on the 360, and I was sort of sad to be letting it go when I decided I was getting the PS4, but this changes everything.
It was only a matter of time. Pretty cool though. I wonder how this version of Minecraft will differ from Minecraft for the Xbox One, since that version is pegged as an exclusive.
Good for the Sony crowd. This is a great game.
YES!! I love minecraft, and I somehow knew they would eventually port it to sony's systems
